Human Rights Activist Afam Onyema on How to Launch Celebrity-Backed Humanitarian Causes

After winning the NCAA championship while playing football at Harvard University, Afam Onyema went to Stanford Law School and began practicing public interest law. But soon Afam felt the tug to be more than a lawyer; he felt he was called to help his family’s foundation start hospitals and medical clinics in Africa and quit his job to do it. Over the past years, he has successfully launched numerous medical missions and clinics in Nigeria, secured the support of celebrities ranging from Oprah to Benjamin Cumberpath, and helped save thousands of lives.
